A culinary adventure drawing on the senses to embrace the art of eating together and sharing stories.

Celebrate premium food sourced from the land and sea around Kangaroo Island and South Australia in this immersive dining experience.

 

The eight-course tasting menu evolves in front of you as each course is cooked over the flames, coal, or smoke of an open fire pit set inside a historic sugar gum hut lit with flickering candlelight.

The intimate events are hosted by Nick Hannaford and Benjamin Anthony who collectively bring over 40 years of experience in designing and curating iconic special events and extraordinary dining experiences.

Featuring premium Kangaroo Island produce foraged & sourced from what is available that week, the seating is limited to *shared dining of only 16 guests at one table. Only a few dates are released each month.

The What, Where, How’s.

What.

The intimate affair involves an eight course meal that takes place inside an old shearing shed on the same property as the Enchanted Fig Tree, which is where Gastronomo Dining chief executive Nick Hannaford grew up. After many generations, Nick decided to bring new life into the shearing shed which pays homage to his grandmother Lady Prue Holden who was an amazing entertainer herself. The space is loaded with family history and the faint gossips of parties gone by.

Where.

The Sensorium Shearing Shed is located next to the Enchanted Fig Tree and is a 2km drive from your WanderPod.

 

The Overflow Estate 1895 Restaurant

When.

Limited dates are released each month over the winter season.

Gastronomo welcomes inquiries for private functions or special events on your selected dates.

 

 

 

Price.

$295 per person (inc GST) – inclusive of all food wine and beverage pairing.

Limited to 12-16 guests per sitting.
